I agree that the parking is a messy situation and no one seems to be doing anything about it, i guess they dont care. I also agree the girls dont seem to care much about anything, I guess they dont see themselves out in the real world working with real people. They are slow, talks alot about foolishness and just generally carefree. I wonder how many of them lasts out there when they begin to do real work? I wish the staff could have regular meetings this might help.

If you are looking for a professional atmostphere to study cosmetology, this is not the place! Most of the instructors are uprofessional or unqualified. The books and curriculum are inferior to other schools. They they use cheap low rate products and they are always out of everything. The parking situation is a joke. There is not adequate parking for the students so you have to get there extra early unless you plan on walking a mile to get to class. They cram as many students as they can into the classes and you don't have space to learn because you're practically on top of each other. The teacher student ratio is out of wack because there is often only one teacher to so many students.So forget about getting your questions answered. The tuition is a bit cheaper than the other schools but not by that much for what you learn. I suggest spending the extra money for a better school. You will be happier in the long run. Remember this, "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR". Unless you like wasting time and money, I would not recommend Georgia Career Institute!

It saddens me to read this review, which is filled with slanderous errors about GCI. For over 30 years, Georgia Career institute has prepared men and women to enter the fields of wellness and beauty - and has done so with competence and compassion. The Georgia State Board of Cosmetology will confirm that our graduates have an average pass rate consistently higher than most other schools in the state. All of our teachers are licensed, highly qualified professionals at the best in their craft. We use products found in the highest caiber salons and spas to support curricula that surpasses all requirements of our national accrediting agencies and state regulatory bodies. Our student-teacher ratio is governed by the state board and ample professionals are available to help students prepare for their careers. This student clearly was unhappy here, and it is unfortunate. As with all our students, we are happy to accomodate your needs and make every attempt to make your experience here the best possible. It would appear that she either couldn't handle the academic demands or didn't get the extra support she needed - and it tells me that she didn't use the systems in place to assure that her experience was a great one at GCI. Our reputation has made this school grow from 75 students and 3000 square feet to a campus of nearly 300 in over 27000 square feet of the best facilities available in the region. We welcome anyone to come visit and see for yourself. The GCI difference is and important one in the preparation for your career in wellness and beauty.
